Virgin Media is rolling out a free router upgrade for customers still using its oldest broadband hubs — including Hub 1, Hub 2, and Hub 2AC. These older models are no longer receiving regular security updates and may result in slower speeds and unreliable connections. The company is now replacing them with the more advanced Hub 4, at no extra cost.
According to The Sun, the upgrade is part of Virgin Media's effort to offer better Wi-Fi speed, stability, and security for customers who haven’t updated their equipment in years.

Hub 4 Comes with Smarter Tech

The new Hub 4 includes Intelligent WiFi technology that helps avoid congestion by automatically switching to less crowded channels. It also supports better speeds and offers improved performance across multiple connected devices in the home.

How to Check Eligibility and Get the Upgrade

Virgin Media is contacting eligible customers by letter with information on how to claim the upgrade. But users can also visit the official Virgin Media Hub Upgrade page to check their status and request the new router.
“Upgrading to our latest hub means better speeds, stronger connections, and enhanced security,”
