Diablo IV, Jusant and More: Sony Celebrates 15 Years of PS Plus with July Free Games

Diablo IV, Jusant and More: Sony Celebrates 15 Years of PS Plus with July Free Games Fileion.Com
Sony has revealed its PlayStation Plus lineup for July 2025, marking the 15th anniversary of the subscription service. Subscribers will get access to Diablo IV, The King of Fighters XV, and Jusant, available from July 1 to August 4.

July’s Free Games Lineup

Diablo IV leads the lineup. Released in 2023, the action RPG features a sprawling world, five playable classes (plus a sixth in DLC), and both solo and cooperative modes. Season 9, titled Sins of the Horadrim, launches the same day it arrives on PS Plus.
Next up is The King of Fighters XV, a 3v3 fighter from SNK. It offers 39 characters and rollback netcode to ensure smooth online play. A bonus Classic Leona costume is included with the PS Plus version.
Jusant, exclusive to PS5, offers a serene yet challenging climbing adventure. Developed by Don’t Nod, it asks players to ascend a mysterious tower, managing tools and stamina as they uncover secrets.

Anniversary Treats: Rewards, Free Weekends & Trials

To honor its 15-year milestone, Sony is thanking fans with several special offers:
  • Free online multiplayer weekend on June 28–29, allowing all PS4 and PS5 users to play without a subscription.
  • Exclusive store sales run June 27–29 across thousands of games and movies.
  • Game trials: WWE 2K25 (already available) and Monster Hunter: Wilds (launching June 30).
Sony also issued a heartfelt thanks through its PlayStation Blog: “A big thank you to players for 15 wonderful years,” celebrating the journey since June 29, 2010.

Deeper Dive: What Makes These Games Stand Out

Diablo IV

This dark fantasy hit brings expansive end-content, world bosses, and cooperative gameplay. It’s a strong inclusion that appeals to fans of action RPGs.

The King of Fighters XV

The franchise’s latest installment refines team-based combat and adds competitive rollback netcode. It’s a welcome addition for the fighting game community.

Jusant

This indie climbing adventure offers peaceful exploration and stylized gameplay. It’s a stand-out title that adds variety to the lineup.

What’s Leaving PS Plus This July

Subscribers on Extra or Premium tiers should note that six titles will exit the service on July 15, including Dying Light 2: Stay Human, Remnant II, Crisis Core – Final Fantasy VII Reunion, Job Simulator (PSVR2), Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord, and Vampire: The Masquerade – Swansong. Make sure to finish any favorites before they disappear.

Why This Matters

  • The selection highlights Sony’s strategy to cater to diverse audiences: from hardcore RPG fans (Diablo IV) to fighters (KOF XV) and indie enthusiasts (Jusant).
  • The extra promotions and free weekend show Sony’s appreciation for long-time subscribers.
  • With the anniversary falling just after June, it gives PS Plus a strong mid-year push with top-tier titles and community engagement.

A Look Back at 15 Years of PlayStation Plus

Since launching in 2010 for PS3, PlayStation Plus has expanded from online access and monthly games to a multi-tiered service offering cloud saves, game catalogs, trials, and streaming. Over the years, its free monthly titles have become a key selling point—and today’s lineup reflects that legacy.

Final Thoughts

Sony’s July PS Plus lineup delivers variety and value, anchored by the weight of Diablo IV’s seasonal release. The mix reflects thoughtful curation for both mainstream and niche audiences, all wrapped in a fitting birthday celebration.
