Bell Canada Reveals Ateko: A Unified Tech Services Brand

TN- Bell Canada Reveals Ateko A Unified Tech Services Brand
Bell Canada has announced the launch of Ateko, a new technology services brand that consolidates its recent acquisitions—FX Innovation, HGC Technologies, and CloudKettle—under a single umbrella. This strategic move aims to enhance Bell's position in the tech services sector by offering integrated solutions in cloud services, digital transformation, and cybersecurity.

Strategic Acquisitions Form the Foundation of Ateko

Over the past two years, Bell Canada has acquired several tech companies to strengthen its service offerings:
  1. FX Innovation: Acquired in June 2023, FX Innovation is a Montreal-based provider of cloud-focused managed and professional services, specializing in workflow automation solutions.
  2. HGC Technologies: In October 2024, FX Innovation, a company owned by Bell Canada, bought HGC Technologies. HGC is a top ServiceNow partner operating in Canada and the U.S. This acquisition strengthens FX Innovation's skills in process automation and digital transformation.
  3. CloudKettle: Acquired in July 2024, CloudKettle is a Halifax-based professional services company specializing in Salesforce consulting and data integration, operating in Canada and the U.S.
By integrating these companies, Ateko aims to provide end-to-end solutions that leverage Bell's robust network infrastructure and the specialized expertise of its acquisitions.

Leadership Perspectives on the Launch

John Watson, Group President at Bell, emphasized the significance of this consolidation:
"Our goal is to create a $1 billion start-up and to be the best Systems Integrator and Managed Services Partner for our customers. Bringing outstanding founders and their teams together, while leveraging Bell's scale and resources to develop deep platform and vertical industry expertise, is a winning strategy."

Guillaume Bazinet, CEO of FX Innovation, also expressed enthusiasm:
"Combining FX Innovation's expertise with HGC's mastery of ServiceNow creates a truly unique and powerful offering. HGC's expertise with application development on the Now® platform fits well with Bell's market strategy, enabling us to deliver custom-built solutions that meet our clients' needs."

Implications for the Tech Services Market

The formation of Ateko positions Bell Canada to compete more effectively in the tech services market, offering comprehensive solutions that address the evolving needs of businesses undergoing digital transformation.

By unifying its acquisitions under one brand, Bell aims to streamline service delivery and provide clients with a cohesive suite of offerings.
