STC (Saudi Telecom Company) Group, a leading telecommunications provider in the Middle East, along with Huawei, has announced the successful pilot of the first 5G network software in the region which is specifically optimized for gaming. This innovative solution, called the Intelligent Personalized Experience (IPE) 5G-Advanced, utilizes advanced AI technologies to provide a seamless and high-quality gaming experience.

AI-Powered Optimization

The IPE 5G-Advanced solution utilizes 3rd Generation Partnership Project (3GPP) 5G Network Functions, including the Network Data Analytics Function (NWDAF) and AI-enhanced User Plane Function (UPF). These technologies enable the network to monitor and optimize key performance indicators such as bandwidth, latency, and jitter in real time through machine learning and AI algorithms. This dynamic adjustment ensures an uninterrupted and high-quality gaming experience that adapts to user needs and varying network conditions.

Enhancing the Gaming Ecosystem

This collaboration emphasizes STC Group and Huawei's commitment to advancing the gaming industry in the Middle East. Though AI implication in gaming is not new at all while the way STC & HUAWEI 5G approach is kinda unique. With the integration of AI into 5G networks, the partnership aims to meet the growing demand for high-performance connectivity in gaming and esports, providing users with world-class experiences.
